Activities range in style and typically include labeling, coloring, cutting/pasting, multiple choice, short answer, and matching. A world map and individual continental maps showing examples of the types of animals found in various regions are provided. The last section of the book focuses on animal life around the world. Section 3 presents the seven continents and 4 oceans through the use of 21 various activities. Section 2 provides 29 activities and covers 8 landforms and 3 bodies of water such as hills & mountains islands & volcanoes deserts & plains canyons & valleys oceans, lakes & rivers and landforms & bodies of water. Section 1 focuses on map skills and provides 31 activities covering 9 different map skills (what is a map, positional words, cardinal directions, compass rose, map symbols, map key, distance on a map, borders on a map, and map grids). Content is divided into 4 distinct sections. This book contains a collection of 93 reproducible activity pages covering a wide range of standard geography skills designed to help younger students gain an understanding of basic geography vocabulary and concepts.
